Rules and policies are in place to make sure your child remains safe and well at school.
Students at Boronia Park Public School are expected to follow these school rules:

Our school uses the department's School Community Charter to ensure all of our communication is collaborative and respectful.
Students must attend school regularly so they can achieve their educational best and increase their career and life options.
In NSW, all children from the age of 6 are legally required to attend school or be registered for home schooling through the NSW Education Standards Authority (NESA). All students must complete Year 10, or its equivalent and remain in school, employment or training until they turn 17.

The Learning Support Team (LST) has been established to assist teachers in supporting the learning or behaviour of students of concern who are either at risk of not achieving the appropriate learning outcomes or who are unable to behave appropriately in the school environment.

Boronia Park Public School teachers recognise their roles and responsibilities in catering for gifted children and they work cooperatively with the community to provide suitably enriching programs for these children.

A school is a community of people, comprising students, teachers, administra6ve staff, parents, volunteers, as well as other schools, community organisa6ons, local government, and the wider community. In internal communica6ons, all members of the school community have the right to privacy, whilst ensuring ongoing opportunity to par6cipate in school ac6vi6es. It should not be necessary to compromise the privacy and dignity of individuals in order to maintain open lines of communica6on among various segments of the school community.

Below is a copy of the procedures for election of captains & prefects. This document was ratified at School Council, after consultation with students, teachers and parents. There are minor changes that have been made from the old procedures document. These changes are to ensure the process is as fair as it can be.
