Uniform
When students wear a school uniform, they feel included in our school community.
Our school uniform
The Principal, in consultation with the School Council, school staff and P&C members helped develop our school uniform to make sure it:
- meets the requirements of occupational health and safety, anti-discrimination and equal opportunity legislation
- includes items that are affordable, comfortable and made from easy-care and easy-wear fabrics
- is appropriate for the full range of school activities
- is suitable for all body shapes

The Boronia Park Public School uniform is decided by the Principal and the School Council. The style of our uniform has been selected to be unrestrictive and facilitate active play for both girls and boys. Uniform items are designed and rigorously tested to ensure they are of high quality, are practical, and are easy to care for.
Feedback about the school uniform is sought from the school community periodically and any suggestions for specific changes to the existing uniform need to be made to the School Council and Principal for their review/approval.
All children are encouraged to wear our school uniform. Children with long hair are requested to wear it tied back. Jewellery, other than small earrings for pierced ears is discouraged as it can become caught in play equipment, broken during active play or lost.
We strongly recommend labelling all your child's possessions with your child's name. Names wear off or become illegible over time, so please check you name labelling from time to time to ensure it's still legible/intact. School uniform items that are found on the school grounds and don't have a legible name are donated to the secondhand uniform rack.
